Cost Of Car Insurance Increases

January 23, 2019 by Logan Biggs

It is rather concerning to hear that car insurance premiums have gone up in the 4th quarter of last year based upon figures contained in the car insurance price index as this may have an impact on the amount that motor traders and certain other businesses in the motor trade industry pay for their motor trade insurance.

Apparently, the cost of fully comprehensive car insurance has gone up by an average of £14 per annum to an average of £774 per annum in the last quarter of 2018 when compared with the previous quarter. This may not sound a lot but it is something that people would prefer not to have happened.

So, why may this have a negative impact upon how much you pay for your motor trade insurance/? There are so many factors that affect the cost of such cover but, if you are a motor trader, you will be driving not only your own vehicle, those owned by your business and those owned by your customers so you will no doubt have suitable cover in place to allow you to do this. Therefore, if it costs more to insure a private car then it is quite likely that your premiums may increase at renewal for your motor trade cover.

So, what can you do about this? Well, you could shop around and get other motor trade insurance quotes to see if you can get the level of cover you require to meet your exacting standards but for a lower premium.

There are various ways that you can do this. For instance, you could get a quote from a high street insurance broker that also deals with such cover. You could speak to your bank or building society and get a quote. You could go on the Internet and you will no doubt find that there are a number of insurance companies that provide such cover. Another way is to use the services of one or more price comparison websites and obtain one or more quotes to compare. Having decided on the most suitable provider/cover you may even be able to arrange the cover either online or over the phone.

You will be pleased to hear that through this website we may be able to help arrange a competitive motor trade insurance quote without any obligation to proceed. We very much look forward to being of assistance.
